Minimum Standards
Trappers Transport minimum standards have recently changed. The following minimum standards must be met before an individual will be considered.
US Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age and able to travel internationally.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License: Class 1 with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Minimum verifiable 2 years work experience driving a tractor trailer.
- 1 year Canada/US border crossing experience supported by a FAST Card/Passport.
- Current Commercial Driver’s Abstract with NO alcohol convictions in previous 5 years.
- Must provide a list of previous and current employer(s) for use as references.
- Must be able to run all 48 states and have at least 1 year BC mountain experience.
Canadian Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age with a valid Commercial Driver’s License: Class 1 with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Minimum verifiable 2 year work experience driving a tractor trailer.
- One year verifiable mountain experience.
- Current Commercial Driver’s Abstract with NO alcohol convictions in previous 5 years.
- Ability to provide a list of previous and current employer(s) for use as references; and:
Pre-Qualification Documents
Trappers Transport will need the following documents from you:
- An original Commercial Drivers Abstract. The abstract must be no more than two (2) weeks old from the date of completion of the Driver Recruitment Form, and must show no alcohol convictions in the previous five (5) years, and no more than two (2) moving violations within the last year.
- A legible photo (front & back) of your Provincial Driver’s License.
